We grew up in the trust business when it was a deeply personal, family-focused business. We endured the demise of corporate trust administration over the years until we could no longer—then we started our own trust company to serve clients like we used to, like family.
We bring a small-town perspective and an appreciation for the challenges within rural America that are crucial to thoroughly understanding our clients’ family dynamics and achieving the best outcomes for all.

For Families
Our goal is to make certain that the terms of each trust are honored and executed objectively, always. Our desired outcome is always family harmony, from beginning to end. Beneficiaries are fully informed throughout the process of the what AND the why. This gives beneficiaries peace of mind, knowing that the decisions and distributions were done fairly, objectively and according to the trust‘s (grantor’s) wishes.
For Grantors
We strive to build a strong personal relationship with you, the creator of the trust (grantor), to develop a deep understanding of your family culture, values, and desires, which allows us to best carry out your wishes when the time comes. We help you think through your estate, develop a communication plan, and even help communicate that plan on your behalf. When the trust is settled, our job is to ensure your family is taken care of—that your spouse is prepared to manage the necessary financial responsibilities; your children are emotionally, mentally, and financially prepared to inherit their shares; and your assets get to the right people, in the right way, at the right times.
We also serve as a corporate trustee who administers irrevocable trusts for beneficiaries. We lighten the burden for surviving family members by handling the details and providing practical guidance as we help secure assets, inventory belongings, and assist in making thoughtful, rational decisions. Ideally, we will have worked with the grantor and can provide insight into their desires and intentions; but even if that’s not the case, we focus on facilitating healthy communication among family members and reaching fair outcomes that best reflect the recorded wishes of the grantor. As an independent third party, our mission is to simplify the estate settlement process and help you maintain family harmony.
For Beneficiaries
We also serve as a corporate trustee who administers irrevocable trusts for beneficiaries.
